The Hackett Group to Preview 2007 SG&A Research Findings At 17th Annual Best Practices Conference

"Leveraging Synergies: Myth or Reality," Conference Also Features Presentations by Execs from Honeywell, Abercrombie, Citigroup, Georgia-Pacific, Others

ATLANTA, April 9, 2007 - The Hackett Group, a strategic advisory firm and an Answerthink company (NASDAQ: ANSR), announced today that it will preview findings from its 2007 Book of Numbers™ research at its 17th Annual Best Practices Conference, "Leveraging Synergies: Myth or Reality," in Atlanta April 26 and 27.

The research, which quantifies spending, staffing, economic return, and other key efficiency and effectiveness metrics of world-class performance in finance, IT, HR, procurement and other back-office areas, will be one of several conference highlights. The two-day invitation-only event will also feature presentations by senior executives from 24 of the world's most successful companies including: Honeywell, Abercrombie & Fitch, Citigroup, Georgia-Pacific, Dupont, and Unilever.

Conference presentations will focus on techniques used by world-class companies to achieve synergy across back-office functions, enabling them to reduce costs and achieve other benefits. The topic of synergy will be considered in light of several best practice themes: proven techniques for reducing business process complexity; driving effectiveness and efficiency at the enterprise level; focusing on attracting and retaining top talent; providing real-time information in a real-time world; and maximizing ROI on technology investments.

Lawson Software is the Marquis sponsor for this year's Hackett Best Practices Conference. Cognos is the event's Diamond sponsor. Specialty sponsors include: Concur Technologies, Fidelity Employee Services Company, IBM Managed Business Services, Kronos, and Wipro BPO.

Five Advisory Member Forums and Four Executive Summits will immediately precede the Best Practices Conference on April 25. Functional executives who are members of Hackett's Account-to-Report, Customer-to-Cash, Finance Shared Services, Payroll, and Purchase-to-Pay advisory programs will attend the forums. C-level executives who are members of Hackett's Finance, Enterprise Performance Management, Total Working Capital, Human Resources, Information Technology and Procurement Executive Advisory Programs will attend the summits. The forums and the summits will provide members of Hackett's advisory programs the opportunity to learn about and participate in discussion of the latest research findings, dialogue on relevant issues they are currently facing, and discuss their companies' successes and challenges in an open peer learning environment.

"In the business world, synergy is often the anticipated benefit of corporate reorganizations, cooperation between business functions, or mergers and acquisitions. The expectation is that the combined organization will be greater than the sum of its individual parts. But in reality, many actions aimed at achieving synergy fail to deliver the expected gains," explains Hackett President of Global Enterprise Solutions Richard T. Roth, "How is it that some companies use synergy to successfully and repeatedly improve both efficiency and effectiveness? What are world-class companies doing differently to make synergy work? These are the topics we'll be exploring in this year's Hackett Best Practices Conference."
