EPM Transformation Overview

The Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Transformation Practice is the industry leader in developing and implementing strategic solutions for the Finance function that enable the function to improve decision- making capabilities, increase productivity and provide a platform for increased growth of the business. The primary offerings of this practice area are: EPM Strategy (Blueprint and Strategy, Org Design and People Development and Strategy/KPI Articulation), EPM Transformation (EPM Process and Data Optimization, EPM Center of Excellence/Delivery Model, Cost Management) and Finance Technology (EPM/BI Information Architecture, Planning and Budgeting Solutions, Consolidation and Reporting Solutions, and Management / other Enterprise-wide Reporting Solutions.)

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Senior Consultants are primarily responsible for assisting in day-to-day client engagement execution. Senior Consultants will apply well-honed consulting skills to ensure quality of deliverables and serve as competent, effective members of a client delivery team. In addition, they will also apply functional and project management skills to plan, organize, and lead work streams within an engagement. Outside of client delivery, they will support business development such as project diagnostics, RFP responses, proposal development, and intellectual property. Senior Consultant responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead and manage workstreams within a client engagement and complete client work in accordance with established budget, workplans and quality standards
  • Identify issues critical to the clients' strategic and operational success and structure possible solutions
  • Provide content/functional knowledge and best practice understanding in the major finance & EPM processes
  • Drive analysis and recommendations with minimum oversight of project manager
  • Lead development of client deliverables for their workstream
  • Conduct client interviews and lead client workshops to gather relevant project information
  • Support identification of add-on opportunities at current clients to extend the existing project scope
  • Assist in the development of internal IP (i.e., white papers, best practices, etc.)
  • Play a role in critical firm building activities, including recruiting, training, and performance management cycles
  • Assist in framing direction and content for engagement proposals
  • Develop and build client relationships
  • Mentor, coach, and develop junior staff
Expected Background & Work Experience

We are searching for professional, talented, and driven individuals with strong finance and EPM experience. Senior Consultants will typically have:

  • 3-5 years related consulting or industry experience
  • Experience working in the EPM and BI space within targeted industries
  • Ability to effectively operate independently and in a team environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical capability and modeling skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks at one time
  • Base knowledge of the EPM software / product functionality and capabilities including Oracle/Hyperion, SAP and IBM/Cognos

Applicants must be willing and able to travel to client work locations a minimum of 4 days per week.
