Developing future state world-class procurement organizations
A conglomerate faced with the break up of its four operating companies into separate public companies, looked to develop strategies, plans and designs, processes and solutions for the four new distinct and disconnected Procurement organizations.
Hackett leveraged special cuts of its proprietary database to optimally size future staffing levels, labor and overhead costs from sourcing through to settlement. The plans and designs were customized to the unique spending patterns and transaction profiles for each new company. Implementation roadmaps were defined for each organization.
Process maps were provided with the optimal source-to-settle methods and solutions, as well as RFP specifications for the required procurement systems.
Hackett's future state vision for the procurement and payment processes of each new organization was customized for the unique gaps that each had to close in order to achieve world-class levels. Hackett increased process standardization, simplification and automation were planned as a prelude to outsourcing selected purchase to pay transactional activities.
