(Senior) Marketing Manager, Global Communications and Events

General description

The (senior) marketing manager plays a critical role in creating awareness, generating demand and strengthening client relationships by overseeing the production of a range of communications and events. This multi-channel marketing management role includes communications and event activity across both digital and offline channels.

The marketing manager should have all-round communications and events experience, in particular excellent copywriting and communication skills and the ability to oversee event execution. This role is both strategic and tactical and will need someone who has the ability to pull together a program and then implement the details without losing the overall picture.

Reporting to the global marketing leader, the marketing manager will supervise the offshore graphics team and event support staff, working in a tight-knit team with a culture of collaboration across a matrix work structure. Specifically, the marketing manager is responsible for:

  • Developing clear, creative communications to support the business and execute on a plan with materials that support service line strategies and key marketing initiatives
  • Identifying opportunities to support organizational initiatives and lead in developing communications materials to promote and publicize these activities
  • Writing and producing strategic, multi-faceted communications that build and strengthen The Hackett Group's reputation as a leader in the marketplace
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams to drive event strategy, schedule, materials and budget for webinars, seminars, roundtables, tradeshows, conferences and other marketing events including our annual customer conferences
  • Building and fostering collaborative relationships with other departments within the organization to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, products and services
  • Supervising graphics team and event staff as well as production resources
Qualifications & Experience
  • Seven years of broad marketing experience, including excellent copywriting and communication skills and the ability to oversee event production
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to multitask effectively with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organization skills – including prioritization and working to deadline
  • Proven experience managing and executing events with an understanding of both event logistics and production
  • Ability to work in a team environment, yet also work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to motivate individuals and organizations not under one's direct reporting relationship to generate results
  • Ability to recognize potential problems and take proactive measures
  • Ability to think critically and react quickly and calmly in high-pressure situations
  • Experience marketing complex service offerings, past experience in consulting, professional or financial services a plus
  • Agency experience a plus
  • German language skills a plus
  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, English or related area of study
  • Advanced degree a plus
