Center of excellence (CoE)
A CoE is an organizational entity dedicated to the delivery of business services, and continuous improvement and optimization of the business services it delivers. A CoE often refers to a team, a shared facility or an entity that provides leadership, best practices, research, support and/or training for a focus area or multiple focus areas. A CoE brings together critical competencies for execution of the work and achieves continuous performance improvement through institutionalization and leverage of skills and knowledge. It may be located within a business unit, at corporate headquarters, in a focused hub/location or in a global business services organization.
