Cloud migration

Cloud migration is the process of relocating information technology assets, including business and infrastructure applications and data from data center to the cloud. Cloud migration technique should align with the overall cloud strategy of an organization. Four distinct cloud migration approaches in order of difficulty are rehost (lift and shift to IaaS), re-platform (shift workloads into IaaS with minimal changes), refactor (redesign leveraging PaaS techniques) and reimagine (complete cloud native rewrite of the application with new business capabilities).
