Full-time equivalent (FTE)
FTE is based on a regular workweek, typically 40 hours. An employee who works 20 hours per week would be counted as 0.5 of an FTE. However, anyone working more than 40 hours should be counted as 1.0 FTE. Overtime hours are excluded. Include independent contractors.
