Global business services (GBS) organization

A GBS organization is an internal unit responsible for leading the implementation of the GBS approach. It shares resources on behalf of multiple internal customers (including the use of transactional and knowledge centers of excellence), and leads the design and coordination of business services that are resourced in-house and/or via external third parties such as business process outsourcing providers.
