Explainable AI

Explainable AI (XAI) refers to artificial intelligence (AI) systems that provide clear, understandable explanations for their decisions and actions. Unlike traditional “black box” models, XAI aims to make the inner workings of AI models transparent and interpretable to humans – especially stakeholders such as data scientists, business leaders, regulators and end users. It helps answer questions like why a decision was made, what factors influenced it and how the model will behave in similar scenarios. Explainable AI enhances trust, accountability, compliance and effective decision-making, particularly in sensitive domains like healthcare, finance, and legal systems.
